John has considerable experience in the marketing communications industry as a practitioner and advisor.
John launched his career at Dancer-Fitzgerald-Sample Advertising in New York. Following increasingly responsible roles he served as an Executive Vice President, Worldwide Director at Saatchi & Saatchi. In this position he managed a number of the agency’s clients on a global basis. Additional industry experience includes the 4As (American Association of Advertising Agencies) where he led membership, strategic planning and industry-wide digital initiatives.
As a financial advisor John got his first taste of M&A at an Internet driven firm in Cambridge, MA, Marketplace Technologies, that had several sites including MergerNetwork. Since joining DeSilva & Phillips, he has facilitated a number of successful transactions:
