Karthic Bala has joined Oaklins DeSilva+Phillips in 2023 as a Senior Advisor.

Karthic has an impressive background in using data to generate profitable revenue, including work he did as Executive Vice President Engineering, Product and Data at Red Ventures, as Global Chief Data Officer of Condé Nast, and President of Precision Health Data Institute, an Everyday Health company. His work has included using data and AI to evolve and reinvent companies by building new market-focused products that are designed for a digitally enhanced world.

He has served on several boards, including Leaders Group Holdings and CareDox and is currently on the Advisory Board of Physician’s Weekly. Earlier in his career, he was a Visiting Professor at the Indian School of Business.

He has a proven track record of success in mergers and acquisitions, having overseen the acquisition of two data companies, Citizen Net and Lighthouse Labs, two media companies, Medpage Today and Eqal, and the sale of Brides, Golf Digest, TV Guide, GameSport, and Giant Bomb. He was also a member of the leadership team that led the IPO of Everyday Health in 2014.

Karthic has a Master of Science in Technology Management from Columbia University and a BS from the University of Madras
