On June 21st ODP Hosted the Dealmakers Blockchain Summit

Blockchain is an emerging technology that is becoming essential to all businesses.  On June 21, 2018 Oaklins DeSilva+Phillips brought together senior executives and thought leaders to discuss how businesses are being impacted by blockchain.

ODP provided an overview of the M&A activity in blockchain and discussed how the M&A market for blockchain is emerging. The first panel focused on early stage investing in blockchain and provided insights into the motivations for selecting between various potential funding and exit strategies – conducting an ICO, raising funding through a traditional venture capital firm, or considering an acquisition. The second panel provided insights on blockchain’s impact across all industries and addressed the concept of owning and aggregating personal data and the accelerating rate of change in the blockchain industry as a whole.

The speakers included founders, CEOs, and senior executives from Greycroft, SAP, Amberdata, The Block, NYIAX, Dun & Bradstreet, IHS Markit, Health Wizz, and The Wall Street Journal.  Approximately 150 PE, VC, Corporate Development, Business Development, as well as C-Level executives, entrepreneurs, and founders gathered to join the conversation.  All attendees received signed copies of Paul Vigna and Michael Casey’s book, The Truth Machine: The Blockchain and the Future of Everything.
